    Pick Your Leasing Agent

If you want to make sure you find the best deal the first thing you'll want to do is choose your friendly leasing agent. Yeah, yeah, we know, why do you need a leasing agent when you have Zillow and Apartments.com? While online resources can be helpful by giving you a good idea of what's out there, only 30% of the data is accurate. When the market moves as quickly as it does in Austin, information matters!

It's also important to note that, along with making sure you know about the best deals and the correct information, your leasing agent will get paid by the property owners. The service a leasing agent provides is completely free to you!

    Find The Perfect Property

After conversing in person, on the phone or over text (whichever you prefer) your leasing agent will send you a curated list of properties available that match your specific needs. As market experts, your MoveGroove leasing agent is equipped to help you navigate all the neighborhoods and available options. We take a consultative approach, so you don't have to worry about pushy salespeople rushing you along. When you're ready and have a good idea of what's out there, you are now ready to go on a property tour! It's kind of like House Hunters but better!

    Submit Your Application

Now that you've found the perfect place it's time to apply. Many times, especially if you're applying to an apartment complex, the application will be online. Along with the application you'll pay an application fee to the apartment complex that's typically around $100. If the property doesn't have an online application portal then your MoveGroove agent will send you an application via DocuSign, so you never have to worry about paper documents. Most places will require you to submit a security deposit along with your application. This fee can range from $250-a month's rent, and will be refunded when you move out at the end of the lease, pending any damages.

    Sign the Lease and Move-In

Now that you're application has been accepted it's time to sign the lease, pay the first month's rent and move-in!
